OUR PHILOSOPHY
Tableware as a form of attention
The choice of porcelain shapes how food is perceived and how time is spent together. We curate Japanese tableware selected for modern living — Kutani, Koransha and Mino-yaki pieces made to be used daily, collected slowly, and kept in view.
Each piece is chosen for its relationship to contemporary interiors, not for rarity alone. The result is a table that changes how a meal feels — quieter, more deliberate, worth returning to.

DELIVERY
Japanese Tableware in Dubai & Across the UAE
We offer premium Japanese porcelain with delivery across Dubai and all seven Emirates. Our selection includes plates, bowls, tea sets and curated dinner sets designed for everyday use and hosting.
We also ship to Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman — with worldwide shipping available on request.
These are pieces meant to stay in view, not in storage
Japanese porcelain is made to remain in a home for decades — to be used, not displayed once. Kutani, Koransha and Mino-yaki each have their own logic and their own place at a table.
Whether you are equipping a restaurant in Dubai's DIFC or building a personal collection in Abu Dhabi, we can help you find pieces that hold their place in daily life.
OBJECTS THAT OUTLAST TRENDS
Create a table worth returning to
Porcelain changes how food is perceived. It slows the moment. It frames the experience. Each Paean™ piece is selected to work within contemporary interiors and modern cuisine — in Dubai and beyond.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is your porcelain authentic Japanese?
Yes. Every piece is sourced directly from Japanese kilns — Kutani ware from Ishikawa, Koransha from Arita, and Mino-yaki from Gifu Prefecture. We work with established producers only and can provide provenance on request.
Do you deliver across the UAE and GCC?
Yes. We ship to all seven Emirates and to Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman. Standard Dubai delivery takes 3–5 business days. Worldwide shipping is also available.
Are the pieces handmade?
Kutani pieces are hand-painted by artisans in Ishikawa Prefecture. Koransha combines precision forming with hand-applied cobalt decoration. Mino-yaki varies by producer — we note hand-finishing where it applies.
Are they dishwasher and microwave safe?
Mino-yaki ceramics are generally dishwasher and microwave safe. Kutani and Koransha pieces with gold or overglaze decoration should be hand-washed. Each product listing specifies care requirements.
Will each piece look identical?
No — and this is by design. Hand-painted pieces carry minor variations in brushwork, glaze pooling and colour tone. This is a mark of authenticity, not a flaw.
Can I mix Kutani and Koransha on the same table?
Yes. The contrast between Kutani's expressive colour and Koransha's restrained cobalt-on-white is one of the most considered ways to set a table. Contact us for advice on combinations.
Do you supply restaurants and hospitality projects?
Yes. We work with Dubai-based restaurants, hotels and interior design projects in the UAE and GCC. Trade pricing and project consultations are available via our Trade & Projects page.
How long does delivery take to Dubai?
Standard delivery within Dubai takes 3–5 business days. Abu Dhabi and other Emirates take 4–7 days. GCC orders typically arrive within 7–10 business days.
What if something arrives damaged?
Each piece is packed individually with archival materials. In the unlikely event of transit damage, contact us within 48 hours with photographs and we will arrange a replacement or full refund.
Why the name Paean?
A paean is a song of praise. The name reflects our belief that a well-chosen table is an act of attention — a quiet tribute to the people sharing it.
